Changes in modern technology have been seen at a faster pace than ever before. The world is evolving and the advancement in technology is blooming. The world today works by keeping up with the changes taking place. The education sector is no different from the rest and has witnessed tremendous growth in the past few years. The old methodologies of teaching are now no longer relevant. Only theoretical knowledge is not enough for the overall development of learners. Practical ways and new teachings are included in the modern teaching processes.

With advancements in technology, integrating it with learning can be beneficial to all of us as a society. Making teaching interesting for the students and will increase their attention and willingness to sit and study. For example, using online teaching tools available on the internet like Google classroom and Padlet can make studying interesting and keep students’ attention. By stepping out of the conservative methods of teaching, we need to welcome technology.

Here are a Few Ways in Which Technology Supports Teaching and Learning

1. Adaptivity in Learning System

Incorporating creative learning and teaching strategies can elevate education standards for students. The resources available on the internet are opening new horizons for the ed-tech industries. Smart classrooms with advanced software and audio/ visual technology make education more integrated. This new system of learning helps students visualize and understand difficult concepts easily. Subjects like Science and Mathematics are easier to explain with 3-D diagrams and videos. Instead of the traditional teaching methods like rote learning, introducing modern methods like visualisation and videos will help students grasp the topic. This enables a deeper understanding of the subject matter. Hence, using technology in teaching and learning can definitely prove to be an adaptive learning system, which is better and advanced than traditional classroom teaching.

2. Accessibility

Digitised education creates opportunities for students as well as teachers. With wider access to online learning, education is now available for everyone. Remote learning was a concept yesterday, which now exists. Students can now have access to learning information and resources from the comfort of their homes. Teachers are no longer bound by the four walls of the classroom to educate their students. In the era of digital learning, students have platforms like zoom, teams, podcasts, and e-books which make learning convenient for them. As education becomes more accessible, the gap can be bridged between educated and uneducated sections of society. The more we integrate technology in the education sector, the more creative learning will be for children. The wider education reaches, the more our society will grow.

3. Affordability and Convenience

For students who are homebound or do not have the access to institutions, can now rely on online learning. Many educational institutions from top-level universities offer online degrees. The charges of an online degree are comparatively lesser than that of an offline degree. With more affordable and convenient resources available, education can now also reach remote areas of the country. When resources are available, greater numbers of students will be able to complete their studies. Additionally, digital tools for the classroom have made online classes interactive and interesting for students.

Conclusion

Online education is going to stay around. Teaching techniques will have to be changed, to bring in innovation. What's important is that technology should make learning better and more accessible. Educators can opt for courses that can help them prepare themselves better not only for online classrooms, but also using technology to make teaching and learning a beautiful journey for the learners. Teaching courses online are carefully designed keeping in mind the needs of the educators as well as the learners.
