The Teacher Development Centre (TDC) is a Suraasa teacher upskilling centre hosted at a school near you. Teachers from different schools come to a TDC to develop their pedagogy and mindset to join the ranks of the most successful teachers globally.
As a TDC participant, you will:
  • Learn global pedagogy practices in live classes delivered virtually by teacher educators from the US, UK, UAE, and Lebanon.
  • Gain hands-on experience with exclusive opportunities to teach classes at the premier school hosting your TDC.
  • Earn highly sought-after international credentials upon completion of your program.
  • Develop a digital portfolio of the skills you master in the program.
  • Engage in group activities with your cohort and become a member of a lifelong community of like-minded, passionate teachers.
  • Accelerate your career progression and unlock new professional advancement opportunities.
Currently, the TDC hosts the Executive pathway of our flagship Professional Graduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning (PgCTL). For years, the PgCTL has successfully upskilled teachers through a comprehensive online platform, and the TDC now brings this proven, internationally recognized curriculum into a blended, in-person environment.
While the core curriculum and the prestigious credentials remain exactly the same as our successful online program, the TDC offers benefit from localized, face-to-face community engagement. This includes mandatory in-person collaborative sessions on the second Saturday of every month and exclusive opportunities to practice teaching physically at the premier school hosting your nearest TDC.
To be eligible for the program, candidates must already hold both a subject qualification and a recognized teaching qualification.
There is no formal application or interview process. You can enroll directly by paying an initial registration fee of ₹20,000. If you want to understand more about why you should join the TDC or if you have any doubts, you can easily schedule a consultation call with our team before enrolling.
To ensure that you are able to successfully learn and apply your new skills, your progress is measured through a mix of formative and practical assessments. These are designed to evaluate both your theoretical understanding and your real-world teaching application:
  • Self-Paced Assessments: Throughout your self-paced learning journey, you will complete multiple-choice question (MCQ) assessments. These occur at the beginning and end of each module, as well as at the end of each milestone within the modules, helping you actively track your progressive learning.
  • Live Assessments: Specific modules feature live assessments that will be open for defined windows of time. You will need to complete these MCQs within their designated timeframe, aiming for a minimum passing scope of 50%.
  • Skill Evidence Assignments: These are practical tasks such as classroom projects, case studies, and digital tasks that prove your ability to apply what you have learned. They are evaluated by trained professionals using specific rubrics.
At the end of the program, your final GPA is calculated based on a weighted average of these components. Because practical application is the core focus of the TDC, your Skill Evidence assignments make up the majority of your grade at 60%. Your Live Assessments and Self-Paced Milestones account for the remaining 20% each.
Yes. Before the course begins, you are assigned a dedicated PAL (Progress Advisor and Liaison) who serves as your main point of contact for academic, certification, and career-related questions. You will also have access to weekly guidance sessions to seek direct help from professors, alongside a dedicated IT Team for any technical or platform support.
Upon successful completion of the program, you will earn two highly recognized credentials:
The Professional Graduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning (PgCTL).
The ATHE UK Level 6 Diploma in Teaching (regulated by UK OFQUAL).

When you upskill at a TDC, you learn how the most successful teachers in the world operate. You will be equipped to teach significantly better wherever you are currently placed. This elevated level of classroom excellence naturally opens many doors for you, allowing you to confidently pursue new opportunities and career advancement wherever you choose to go next.
The total fee for the PgCTL Executive program via the TDC pathway is ₹2,60,000 plus 18% GST. To enroll and secure your seat, you only need to pay the initial ₹20,000 registration fee.
We have partnered with leading Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) to offer our teachers education loans at low or no interest rates. Once you have paid your registration fee, our team will connect with you to discuss the specific EMI process and requirements for approval.
Yes, we offer the Educator Excellence Grant, which provides a scholarship of up to ₹12,500 based on a review of your teaching profile.
The initial registration fee is non-refundable. However, if you need to withdraw within the first 7 days of enrollment, 100% of the remaining fee paid will be refunded. If you withdraw between 7 and 15 days, 50% of the remaining fee paid will be refunded. No refunds are granted after 15 days from the date of enrollment. You can request a withdrawal by emailing care@suraasa.com.
